Welcome to Swim Rockets

My name is Kate Coombs, and I am the proud founder of Swim Rockets.

Swimming has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember—from competing across the country to achieving national medal success at a young age.

​

My passion for teaching began when I had my three children and started guiding them in developing essential life skills through swimming. Both of my daughters followed in my footsteps, progressing to regional and national levels, with my eldest going even further to compete at the Olympic Trials.

I founded Swim Rockets with a clear mission: to help every child become a confident, capable swimmer.

Since then, our learn-to-swim programme has grown rapidly, supporting children at every stage of their journey—from complete beginners to strong, confident club swimmers.
